For charter school families
Use your charter funds at Lu'um and Bloom
If your child is enrolled in a California independent-study charter, your instructional funds can cover our classes. Your school pays us directly through a purchase order — you never pay out of pocket.
Charter schools we accept
We are completing vendor approval now
Lu'um and Bloom is a new provider, and vendor approval takes several weeks per school. Tell us which charter your family is enrolled in and we will prioritize that application — families who ask are the reason a school gets added.
Tell us your charterHow it works
Four steps, and only one of them is yours to chase.
- 1
Choose your course
Pick the class and term that fit your child. Every course page lists the grade range, total hours, schedule and tuition — the exact details your Educational Specialist will ask for.
- 2
Request a purchase order
Ask your Educational Specialist for a PO made out to Lu'um and Bloom LLC. Wait for it to be approved before the class starts — a school is not obligated to pay for services that began early.
- 3
Send us the confirmation
Forward the approved PO to us. That is the last thing you have to do.
- 4
Your child's seat is confirmed
We reserve the spot, ship the art kit if the course includes one, and send your Google Meet and Google Classroom details before the first session.
What your Educational Specialist needs from us
Copy this and send it along with your purchase order request. It is what schools ask for, in the order they ask for it.

Questions about funding
- Do I pay anything up front?
- No. Once the purchase order is approved, your charter school pays us directly. You are never asked for a card.
- How long does a purchase order take?
- It varies by school, but most Educational Specialists turn one around within one to two weeks. Request it as early as you can — approval has to happen before the class begins.
- What if funds are released after the term starts?
- Tell us. We hold seats for families whose funds are pending, as long as we know the purchase order is in motion.
- Can I split enrollment between two children?
- Yes. Each child needs their own purchase order, since funds are allocated per student, but you only fill out the enrollment form once.
- Can I pay privately instead?
- Yes. Choose direct payment on the enrollment form and we will send you an invoice with payment options.
- What happens if my child withdraws?
- Let us know as early as possible. We will work with your school to adjust the invoice for the sessions that were not delivered.
A note for school administrators
Lu'um and Bloom LLC provides supplemental enrichment instruction. All programs are non-sectarian, non-discriminatory, and open to every student who requests a seat. We do not replace core curriculum, and we invoice against an approved purchase order with itemized dates of service.
